At Enterpaws, cat crates are never opened until all the van doors and windows are shut tight.

All adult dogs are walked with a top-tier 2-leash system. Leashes are slip leads so the dog cannot accidentally back out if startled, and one leash is held in hand while the 2nd leash is always strapped to the handler’s belt.

Unvaccinated puppies play and potty in a sanitized safety-pen inside the van so their feet never touch public roadside areas.

Furry family members mean the world to us and I know that pet owners are often bewildered and nervous as they navigate the sometimes muddy-waters of the pet transportation industry, so I’d like to give some background on the people that make up the team at Enterpaws. Elijah has transported dogs for our organization for several years and always treats them as if they were his own. Two years ago, Caitlin began transporting for us as well, and they have always been meticulous in the care of their passengers. They’ve worked with puppies, keeping them safe, clean, and comfortable (even managing bath-time when a puppy had an accident during travel), and have carefully handled mature service-dogs-in training, navigating them through busy, high-traffic parking lots with the ease of handlers who have years of experience under their belts. Pet owners love their dogs dearly, but dogs from our organization will also go on to change someone’s life, and their training value exceeds $50,000 per dog. With all of that said, we trust them both implicitly. Elijah began transporting after years of working as a handler in a professional kennel environment, and Caitlin began after years working as a professional groomer. You can see how both of them adore their passengers by how they get down on their level and sooth them from the start with gentle words – but what really makes them stand apart, is their attention to detail and safety.
